The Green School organized by the forest educators of the SIDP and the Shumensko Plato Nature Reserve continues its activities with children. Today, the educators visited children from the "Bonbon" group of the "Smehorani" preschool. The profession of a forester was presented through fun games. The young students found out who takes care of the forest, what the animals eat, where the squirrels hide their food in the winter and who likes to visit their hollows while they hibernate. The children recalled the lesson about the water cycle and learned how each new forest appears. The forest educators from Shumen have also prepared a new lesson about coniferous and deciduous trees, their importance for air purity and groundwater purification. At the end of the activity, the children will make their own Christmas card related to what they learned. The lesson is suitable for the upcoming holidays and can be done in the classroom upon request.
