Shumen residents welcomed Enyovden on the plateau. The tradition of the holiday was observed by the Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park. Herbs and flowers were prepared, from which an Enyov wreath was woven. Everyone took a bracelet for health. People welcomed the sunrise at exactly 5.32 in the morning and danced the Enyov barefoot dance under the woven wreath. The Directorate of the park provided prizes and cakes with honey.<\/p>\n

According to legend, on this day medicinal plants have the greatest power, and whoever meets the sunrise will be healthy throughout the year. 77 and a half herbs are harvested, with half of them curing the disease without a name. There are 255 medicinal plants on the territory of the nature park, 68 of which have nature conservation status.<\/p>\n
