The first summer lesson with children was held today with students from the Third Primary School "Dimitar Blagoev" - Shumen. Experts from the nature park and the North-Eastern State Enterprise introduced the children to the plants and animals in the protected area and in a fun way learned what the forestry profession is, as well as how to protect forests from fires. On the occasion of June 1 - Children's Day, all participants received the booklet "Forest Adventures", created especially for this type of lesson by forester Ivanka Boyadzhieva. The forest inhabitants and the role of forest workers in the protection of biodiversity are presented.<\/p>\n

\nThroughout the summer, the visitor centers of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve in the Kyoshkovete Forest Park and on the Shumen Plateau will host organized groups of children, with classes taking place by prior registration. The next classes will be with children from Kaspichan, and joint initiatives with the Regional Library, children's centers and other institutions are planned.
