What is the forestry profession and what do the words "afforestation" and "logging" mean - this is what the children from the "Dimitar Blagoev" Primary School in Shumen learned. Forest educators from the "Shumen Plateau" State Enterprise and the North-Eastern State Enterprise held a thematic lesson dedicated to the Forest Week 2023, whose motto this year is "Trust the Forester". Over 180 children from primary school participated in the activities. They received a special puzzle game in which they themselves determined which activities in the forests relate to afforestation and which to logging. The children learned who takes care of the forests in Bulgaria in order to preserve our green wealth.<\/p>\n

The Shumen Forestry Teachers have been working successfully with the school for years. Forestry-themed classes are planned to be held in the coming months. The lessons complement the teaching material and build on knowledge about nature.<\/p>\n
