The \u201cBat Trail\u201d was officially opened today with a short ceremony. It is located in the \u201cKyoskovete\u201d forest park in Shumen and along it you can find images of different types of bats, as well as their food. The idea and implementation is the work of the Rotary Club \u2013 Shumen with the assistance of the \u201cShumen Plateau\u201d Nature Reserve. The trail was presented to members of the Rotary Clubs from Shumen, Svishtov, Targovishte and Razgrad. \u201cWith the creation of this trail, outdoor activities with children and lessons that are held on the Shumen Plateau on the principle of forest pedagogy will be enriched,\u201d noted the head of the Shumen club, Maria Kaschieva. She added that children need more knowledge about nature and its wild inhabitants so that they are not afraid of them and protect them.<\/p>\n

Work on the creation of the trail began at the end of last year. The terrain was cleared of unwanted vegetation, images of bats were placed, as well as a model of a bat house. The Rotary Club of Shumen is also the patron of the \u201cMagic of the Forest\u201d route, which passes near the highest point of the plateau \u2013 Tarnov Tabia. A sign made by the club indicates the exact location.<\/p>\n

The management of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve expressed its gratitude for the volunteer effort. In a special letter, it is noted that the efforts made benefit the entire society and are an example for all Shumen residents.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
