Forest educators from the Shumen Plateau State Forest Reserve will continue to conduct lessons with children from summer camps, emphasizing the rules of behavior in the forest and the risks that should be avoided.<\/p>\n
Nearly 60% of fires are caused by human negligence, and 35% of fires are of unknown cause. 61% of all fires are intentionally caused, and 31% are natural fires caused by lightning.<\/p>\n
Forest fires don't just destroy trees and vegetation. They threaten the lives of defenseless animals and destroy their habitats.<\/p>\n
We appeal to visitors to forest areas to comply with fire safety rules and not to be negligent. If you notice a fire in the forest, you must immediately report it to 112.<\/p>\n
