A cleaning campaign for the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve was carried out today by the employees of the forestry structures in Shumen. The initiative was implemented on the occasion of the Forest Week and was attended by employees of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve Directorate, the Shumen Forestry Department and the Shumen Forestry Department. Areas around the Old Town, near the former kindergarten, the gazebos in the area and the road to the Biserna Cave were cleaned. The most surprising waste was car parts. Places were selected for the campaign that are very often polluted by unscrupulous citizens, although there are waste containers in the area and they are cleaned periodically.

Within the framework of the Forest Week, the employees of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve held lessons with children from the Shturche and Smehorani kindergartens. The children learned more about the forest and trees and participated in the tree planting. A "Health Hike" was held with graduates of the Medical University of Varna, Shumen branch. The park was also visited by users of the Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration of People with Visual Impairments.
