"Biserna" Cave welcomes tourists again

Visits will begin on September 2, and the cave is expected to be open on weekends and holidays. The access regime is maintained - entry will be by prior registration when forming a group of 8 people. The maximum number of tourists in a group is 12. Registration is by phone at 054/800 765 at the Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park. Three groups will be accepted with entry times from 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., from 11.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.

Differentiated prices for the tourist service are being introduced, such as for pensioners and students the price is 8 leva per visit, and for citizens – 10 leva. Payment is made at the entrance to the cave.

We remind you that the route inside is about 800 meters long in one direction. You can reach the “Biserna” cave on foot, as the forest road is not suitable for cars. Vehicles can be parked on the asphalt road before the turn for the villa of the Shumen Municipality. There are two walking routes – from the “Kyoshkave” park – “A lesson on the forest path” and from the fork for the “Old Town” Fortress on the road to the villa of the Shumen Municipality. Signs are placed along all routes.

The temperature in Biserna Cave is currently 10 degrees, so visitors need to have warm clothing. Due to the high humidity and cave waters, it is recommended that tourists wear suitable closed shoes.
