Children from the Velikopreslav district of Kirkovo visited the forest educators from the Shumen Plateau Nature Park and the Northeastern State Enterprise today. The children are included in the summer activities group at the local community center "Samoobrazovanie" and today's excursion to Shumen was organized by the management of the cultural institute. I recall that the Park Directorate donated a computer configuration to the community center for the needs of the children and provided them with educational films. During the lesson, the young students had to recognize different plants, shrubs and tree species by their leaves and learn which animals inhabit the Shumen plateau. The experts introduced the children to the valuable species of orchids. At the end of the activities, the children viewed an exhibition of drawings by their peers - participants in the "Nature is my inspiration" competition and visited the Park's Summer Information Center, which is located on the Shumen plateau.
