Over 130 students from the Secondary School "John Exarch Bulgarian" in Shumen actively participated in the Forest Pedagogy lessons organized by the Social Democratic Party of Bulgaria, the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve and the Bishop Konstantin Preslavski Secondary School. The children from the first and second grades showed that they knew wild animals and birds and even met some of them during family walks in the forests above Shumen. The young students surprised us with their knowledge. The forest teachers promised to build on what they taught the children in April on the occasion of the Forest Week in the next lessons.
Forest educators continue to qualify. The next level of training is coming with Austrian and German teachers, who are arriving in Bulgaria at the invitation of the Northeastern State Enterprise. The work with children in the districts of Shumen, Targovishte, Dobrich and Varna will continue after the training.
