Foresters and experts from Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve with joint initiatives for Forest Week

The official opening of the Forest Week for Shumen region will be on April 1 at the Smyadovo Forestry and Forestry School. At the idea of forest educator Alexandrina Kareva, lessons and games with children will be held in one of the kindergartens in the city.

The next day /April 2/, the Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park is organizing a charity initiative. From 11:00 a.m., a computer will be donated to the Samoobrazovanie Community Center in the Kirkovo district of Velikopreslav. In this way, experts are responding to the call for help that the community center leaders sent to the public. The computer configuration is necessary for the activities in the community center, as the number of children attending classes there has been increasing in recent months. Forest educators from the Park and the SIDP will conduct a lesson with the children. Again on April 2, the Forest Nursery of the State Forest Service-Shumen near the village of Salmanovo will open its doors to all who want to get acquainted with the work of foresters.

On April 3, at 10:00, the access regimes to the Biserna cave will be announced at the Administrative Information Center "Kyoshkove", as well as the results of the examination of the cave by specialists from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Later, a lesson in Forest Pedagogy will be held with children from the "Pchelitsa" Primary School, together with experts from the Primary School. On the same day, volunteers, students from the "Bishop Konstantin Preslavski" Primary School and experts from the Primary School-Shumen will plant saplings in the forest areas.

From 11:00 on April 4, experts from the Social Development Institute, Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve, Shumen Children's Educational Service and Shumen Children's Educational Service will conduct the "Forester for a Day" initiative at Izvorche Children's Educational Service. Over 130 children will learn and have fun in the park of the kindergarten, after which they will plant trees.

Forest Pedagogy lessons will also be held on April 9, 10 and 17 in one of the kindergartens in Novi Pazar and the Secondary School "John Exarch of Bulgaria"-Shumen. The classes are organized by the Secondary School "Bishop Konstantin Preslavski", the Bulgarian Forestry Association, the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve and the Shumen Forestry Association.
