New initiatives in forest pedagogy

For the first time in Shumen, a lesson in Forest Pedagogy was held with 11th grade students of the Nancho Popovich Primary School. The classes are on the occasion of the Open Doors Day of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the Shumen University "Bishop Konstantin Preslavski". Unlike the usual Forest Pedagogy classes, this time the experts from the Shumen Plateau Primary School, the Institute of Forest Pedagogy and the university teachers conducted the classes in a new way with a new type of games. Through them, the students learned how the reduction of natural resources and forests affects species diversity. Classes with educational films and games were also held with third graders from the P.Volov Secondary School. Forest Pedagogy classes will also be held during the upcoming Forest Week. There will be lessons from April 1 to 7, and children from kindergartens from the entire Shumen region will be covered.
