The old tree on the path to "Bigora" has been removed

The fallen tree on the path from the Orbita complex to the Rusalka cave in the Bigora shelter area has been removed. The tree was nearly 25 meters tall and was a beech. Specialists from the State Forestry and the Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve cleared the tourist route and also removed the dry trees in the section.

We recall that an interdepartmental commission inspected the trees and found that they were mostly beech, with no signs of decay, and that there was a risk of falling in strong winds and bad weather conditions. It was decided to remove the 25-meter trees only from the upper side of the pedestrian walkway in the dangerous section to prevent possible accidents.
