Fourth-graders from Sava Dobroplodni Secondary School spent a "learning" day on the Shumen plateau. The children are included in "Natural Sciences" clubs and participated in a lesson on forest pedagogy. We remind you that October 28 has been declared by the Ministry of Education and Science as a non-school day in the country and many school administrations have chosen to implement extracurricular activities with children in nature on the Shumen plateau.
At the Administrative Center of the Nature Park, fourth graders learned about the history of Parch, the main tree species and how to distinguish them. The children learned how to plant a tree and how long it takes for a new forest to grow. The Forest Pedagogy classes continued with thematic games related to the flora in the Park. The children also visited the Summer Information Center. The emphasis of the classes was placed on the birds and animals inhabiting the protected area. The fourth-graders went through the forest labyrinth and discovered the hidden animals. The park experts presented them with the basic rules of behavior in the forest. Each child made a souvenir as a keepsake.
The school day ended with a visit to the Astronomical Observatory.
