The "Outdoor Classroom" on the Shumen Plateau has been renovated. The facility was built with funds from the Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve in 2009 and has been partially renovated to date.
The path to the classroom has been completely renovated, as has the jumping area, where children can compare their bounce with that of some forest animals. The benches have been refreshed, some signs have been replaced, the boards have been cleaned. The tree species that are part of the interactive game "Forest Xylophone" are new.
The “Outdoor Classroom” is part of the “Forest School” complex and also includes the “Forest Labyrinth” and the “Fairy Tale Trail”. They were created in connection with one of the main activities of the Park Directorate - conducting eco-educational programs and initiatives for children and students. Visitors learn more about nature and its inhabitants, as well as ways to protect them, in an entertaining way. The “Forest School” is located in a natural environment in close proximity to the Park’s Summer Information Center.
