Fourth-graders from Shumen made Christmas cards for all directorates of nature parks and for forest officials. The children are from the clubs "Natural Sciences 1" and "Natural Sciences 2" from the interest groups at the "Sava Dobroplodni" Secondary School in Shumen. This is another initiative of the clubs and forest educators from the Shumen Plateau Nature Park and the Northeastern State Enterprise. Several lessons about the forest have already been held with the children, and at the last joint meeting the students learned which are the nature parks in Bulgaria, in which regions of the country they are located and what their activities are. The cards made will be sent to all directorates of parks, to the Executive Forestry Agency and institutions related to the protection of forests and wildlife.
The forest educators thanked the fourth-graders and their leaders for their responsiveness and skill. The children received a wall calendar with photos of protected birds of prey in the natural parks in Bulgaria.
