30 children from the "Sun" kindergarten in Shumen planted their first tree today with the help of Eng. Krasimir Hristov from the Shumen Kindergarten and forest educators from the "Shumen Plateau" Nature Reserve. During the lesson, the children learned how to grow their sapling and what conditions they need to provide it with - warmth, water and light. The foresters explained to the children that in the first years, small trees grow very slowly and all the grass and bushes around them must be cleaned in order for the saplings to survive. Each child planted a few acorns in their pot so that a young tree can grow. The forest educators explained to the children through playful techniques why forests are important not only for animals, but also for all people on planet Earth.
