Almost 2,000 children's works from all over the country participated in the initiative "My Story about the Forest", which marked Forest Week 2020 in April. Photos of drawings, texts and presentations were received by the e-mails of the Executive Agency for Forests, the directorates of natural parks and state enterprises. Nearly half of the works were sent by the children, their parents and teachers to the North-Eastern State Enterprise and the Shumen Plateau Nature Park, and in response, each participant received a link to the publication of their work. In recognition of their participation in the event, all children will be sent virtual certificates
In a letter to all participants, the Executive Director of IAG, Eng. Miroslav Marinov, promised young nature lovers to "continue" their story about the forest by participating in afforestation in the fall. They will be accompanied by specialists - foresters, who will show them how a new forest is created and what it takes to care for it. In addition, experts will visit schools and classes with the most participants to present a lesson about the forest and introduce them to the work of foresters.
In addition, works continue to arrive at the Shumen Plateau Nature Park for participation in the "Nature - My Inspiration" competition. This year, the deadline for sending drawings, texts, applied works and presentations has been extended until the end of May. The competition is for students from 1st to 12th grade.
