Biserna Cave will not open to visitors in September. The reason is the practical impossibility of complying with the introduced anti-epidemic measures in the emergency epidemic situation.
The conditions in the cave, as well as the low temperature and high humidity, do not allow the use of masks by visitors and guides, as well as maintaining a distance of 1.5 meters. Disinfection in the cave is also impossible.
Biserna Cave opens to tourists twice a year according to an established regime, consistent with the biological cycle of the bats that inhabit it and which are a protected species under the Biodiversity Act. The autumn months are allowed for visits, but due to the extension of the epidemic situation, in September 2020. the cave will remain closed.
