Vandals destroy children's facilities in Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve

Vandals destroyed part of the forest school on the Shumen Plateau. The facilities there were created by the Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park for lessons with children, and at the end of last year all the attractions were thoroughly renovated.

This morning, Park employees discovered a destroyed forest xylophone, whose function is to show children the main tree species on the plateau. The tree trunks have been torn out, and the metal base to which they were attached is broken. The employees found the area of the forest school heavily polluted with glass bottles, packaging and plastic waste. The Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve is making efforts with its available resources to maintain the park infrastructure in good condition, and volunteers are conducting regular actions to clean up the terrain of the Park. Our common goal is for the plateau to be a pleasant and clean place for recreation, education and sports. Therefore, we call on the residents of Shumen and guests of the city to prevent vandalism and pollution!
