Employees of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve and the Shumen State Forest Service cleared encroaching trees that were obstructing access to the Park. The road to the Television Tower and the road from the Shumen Municipality villa to the Biserna Cave are now passable. Three trees were also removed in the section from the Old Town on the road to Novosel.
The trees are of the beech type and the fall is mainly due to the strong wind and snowfall a few days ago. Another reason is that the forest is over 100 years old.
Employees of the Shuensko Plateau Nature Reserve and the Shumen State Forest Service will continue to clear wind-broken branches along the main roads in the Park, as well as fallen trees along the tourist routes.
