An employee of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve removed three fallen trees from the trail to the Rusalka Cave. The passage was difficult due to the size of the beech trees. The route - from the Kyoshkovete Forest Park to the Rusalka Cave - is one of the favorites of Shumen residents, but the forest there is the oldest and in adverse weather conditions trees and branches fall onto the trail. This happens in strong winds, storms and overmoistening of the soil. The Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve does not recommend walking in this section in bad weather.
Last year, similar clearing was carried out twice in this area, and employees of the State Forest Service-Shumen removed diseased trees marked by a special commission to prevent possible incidents.
