Students from the Panayot Volov Secondary School in Shumen became ambassadors of the forest. Children from the second and fourth grades joined the initiative of the Executive Forestry Agency "Be an Ambassador of the Forest". The head of the Green Patrols club at the school, Delyana Borisova, held a lesson with the videos provided by the Agency, dedicated to the forestry profession and the activities that take place in the forests. The information was distributed in the classes and so the children are now carriers of the messages about forest protection. The students were introduced to the steps for growing a tree from a seed, with the methods of afforestation and forest protection. They expressed a desire to afforest their own trees and are already discussing which places are suitable and how to care for their saplings so that they survive.
The Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve has provided video materials to other educational structures as part of the "Be an Ambassador of the Forest" initiative dedicated to the Forest Week. Those who wish to participate in the forestry holiday can make drawings, poems, photos, greetings and anything else inspired by their love for the forest.
