Fun games and observations of the evening sky on the Shumen plateau

Open Day "From the Atom to the Cosmos" will be held in front of the Astronomical Observatory of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve on Saturday, May 15. The organizer of the event is the Center for Natural Sciences at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Bishop Konstantin Preslavsky State University. Fun chemical experiments for young and old are planned, observation of celestial bodies with a telescope and presentation of many curious facts from various fields of science. Surprises have also been prepared for all who wish to attend. The classes are completely free. The start will be at 7 p.m. in front of the Astronomical Observatory, and the observation of celestial bodies will begin at 9 p.m. During this period of the month, Venus, Mercury and Mars form the second small parade of the year. The event will be held in compliance with all anti-epidemic measures.

The Shumen Plateau Regional Nature Reserve and the Bishop Konstantin Preslavski University are partners in the management and administration of the Astronomical Observatory on the Shumen Plateau.
