The dendrological trail brightened up with new signs

New signs with QR codes were placed along the dendrological trail by young people from Shumen. Together with employees of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve, the existing signs were replaced along the thematic route, which was created to introduce visitors to the most common tree species in the park and runs from the Kyoshkavete forest park, past the Rusalka cave to the Khan Krumovi Porti area. The signs were made under the Podobri Foundation's Green Academy project, with eleventh-graders from Sofia University "P. Volov" participating in the design, and students from the Youth Council - Shumen were involved in the installation. The codes on the signs lead to various websites where you can read detailed information about the respective species, and the design presents what the leaves and fruits look like.

The dendrological route has been "adopted" by the youth and today they also cleaned up the waste along the path. The very rugged terrain did not scare the young environmentalists, who managed to collect the discarded garbage. At two of the resting places - the "Bigora" shelter and in the "Opera" area, interesting signs were placed calling for the prevention of pollution.

Park employees presented souvenirs and books to the designers, and a surprise gift will be given to the participants in the event.
