For the first time, a kindergarten from Varna is hosting a lesson on survival in the forest. Forest educators from the SIDP, the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve and the Shumen University "Ep. Konstantin Preslavski" through various games introduced the children to the useful and harmful activities in the forests, how to prepare for a long hike and how to put together a tent. All graduates of the Mir Kindergarten participated in the lesson. 171 children from the kindergarten had the opportunity to try the weight of a hiking backpack and walking with poles and what it means to navigate using a map and compass. The forest educators had prepared full hiking equipment, thus showing in practice what is needed for every hike to be safe.
Lessons about the forest are once again being held at the Mir Kindergarten, as part of the management team's policy for green education for children.
