Volunteer Day was celebrated at the directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve. Plaques and letters of appreciation for their work during the year were awarded to the most active volunteers, representatives of the private sector, non-governmental organizations and institutions. The initiative is being held for another year to express recognition to the people who, with their work, contribute to the Park having welcoming paths, accessible and safe facilities, places for education and entertainment for children and students, and also to support children's creativity.
Dobromir Draev from the Scout Club in Shumen and Krasimir Atanasov, whose signs indicate key routes, received thanks for their long-term volunteering in the park. He announced to those present his ideas for improving the infrastructure in the Park.
For cleaning paths and repairs, thanks were extended to the volunteers Tsvetomir Genchev, Dobromir Vassilev, Plamen Todorov, the student interns from the Sofia University "Tr. Simeonov" and the youth from the club "AlDoRa". The contribution of the "Podobri" Foundation and the Shumen Youth Council for the renovation of the dendrological path was noted, and of the Shumen Rotary Club - for the creation of the Bat Path. For the numerous partnership initiatives implemented during the year, thanks were extended to the management of the Sofia University "Panayot Volov", the Regional Inspectorate for Environment and Water, Shumen and the Center for the Rehabilitation of People with Visual Impairments.
The merit of the leadership of the Shumen Municipality and the Northeastern State Enterprise was noted for their support in the renovation of the park infrastructure, and the financial institution "Easy Credit" received recognition for supporting the national competition "Nature - My Inspiration".
Shumen Plateau Nature Park is an example of how caring for nature, for the people of Shumen and the children of Shumen can unite the state, the municipality, the private and non-governmental sectors. "All volunteer actions during the year are significant," noted the Director of the Park, Eng. Krasimi Hristovi, and emphasized that the employees of the directorate will support and be involved in future ideas for the benefit of visitors to the protected area.
In volunteering, there are no firsts and lasts, all efforts are equally valuable to us and ultimately benefit society. Thank you!
