Today marks the official start of Forest Week, a celebration of the Bulgarian forest and foresters in Bulgaria. This year's motto is "Trust the forester!" to emphasize the importance of the profession in the maintenance and management of forest areas.
Forest educators from the Shumen Plateau State Nature Reserve and the Northeastern State Enterprise prepared a special lesson dedicated to the forestry profession and the balance between afforestation and logging. The classes began in March and will continue in various kindergartens and schools in Shumen and the region. During the Forest Week, park employees plan activities to clean and restore park infrastructure.
The tradition of celebrating Forest Week dates back to 1925 and is held during the first full week of April as a celebration of afforestation and the forest.
HAPPY HOLIDAY, DEAR COLLEAGUES! STAY SUCH A DEDICATED TO THE RESPONSIBLE PROFESSION OF FORESTRY! WE WISH YOU HEALTH AND PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS!
