The day at the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve was eventful and celebrated by children.
Fourth-graders from the Panayot Volov Secondary School in Shumen showed guests from Kardzhali, Sevlievo and Dralfa their knowledge of nature and the Shumen plateau. Under a project of the National Program “Innovations in Action”, they presented a booklet they had made about the endangered and protected species of plants and animals in the Park, made theatrical performances, puzzles and wrote rules for behavior in nature to distribute among their peers. The results of the year-long work impressed the guests and employees of the Park, who have been conducting lessons with these students for several years now. The event continued with a hike and a visit to the Biserna cave.
The cave also welcomed 42 second-graders from the Nikola Marinov Secondary School in Targovishte. A lesson was held with the children at the Park's Summer Center, the children went through the Forest Labyrinth and learned more about the plants and animals on the Shumen Plateau.
We wish you more days like this - filled with fun and sparkling children's eyes, we are waiting for you with forest adventures!
