A new lesson was developed by forest educators from Shumen Irina Pavlova from the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve and Tatyana Dimitrova from the Forestry and Forestry Service. It is expected that 20,000 children from the Northeast will participate in the lesson. It is based on the book "Trees in Bulgaria" and is part of the project "Improving the nature conservation status on the territory of the Forestry and Forestry Service" under the Operational Program "Environment 2014-2020". The first lesson was held with children from the "Why" class.
The goal of the lesson is for children to understand how new forests emerge and how much work goes into growing young saplings. At the end of the lesson, the kids must also answer a number of questions related to which trees grow where, which ones need more moisture or sun, which seeds are edible, and many more.
The lesson is intended for children from grades I-IV, and children from the last groups of kindergartens can also participate. Principals and teachers from the districts of Shumen, Varna, Dobrich and Targovishte can invite the forest educators to visit them by phone: 0878596860.
