Eco lessons with children in Varbitsa

Lessons related to forest protection from fires, afforestation and logging, ecological balance and survival in nature are being conducted by forest educators from the Shumensko Plateau Nature Reserve and the Sofia Forestry and Forestry Service for students from the Saint Paisii Hilendarski Secondary School in Varbitsa. Irina Pavlova and Tatyana Dimitrova are visiting the school at the invitation of the school's director, Milena Mersinkova, and the classes began on October 9 and will continue until October 27, covering various topics.

Children from grades 1 to 4 took part in the lessons in the pine forest on the edge of town, where a recreation area and eco-trail were recently built. Irina Pavlova showed the children how to navigate a map, what a compass is for, and how to follow the tourist markings so as not to get lost in the forest.

The young students observed the feathered inhabitants with binoculars, and the forest educators told them curious facts about the animals and reptiles found in Bulgaria. The lessons with the children from the "St. Paisii Hilendarski" Secondary School will continue on October 25.
