The Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park thanks all the volunteers who, with their work, help the beloved plateau remain an attractive place for recreation and sports!
Today, December 5, is celebrated as Volunteer Day and we pay tribute to all the friends of the park who invest time and effort in protecting nature.
Many people combine their walk with collecting waste on the roads and main routes in the park. They do not advertise their cause, but they follow it unfailingly. To them and to those who protect the shelters, benches and amenities for tourists, the Directorate expresses its sincere gratitude!
In 2023, volunteer activities were implemented with the "Kresliv Orel" scout club, which cleaned part of the "Relax" route and renewed the marking.
Rotary Club - Shumen finalized its initiative called "Bat Trail" by cleaning up an alley in the "Kyoskovete" forest park and turning it into a place for learning and playing for children of all ages.
During their student internships, the graduates of the "Trayko Simeonov" Secondary School in Shumen voluntarily repainted the benches in the "Kyoskovete" forest park, and also cleaned two routes - the path to the "Biserna" cave and the Dendrological trail.
The "Zmey Goryanin 2022" Association at the Shumen Children's Cultural Center pleased us with March decorations. For the good mood of the visitors and on the occasion of the spring holidays, the trees were turned into martenitsa.
Employees at the directorate also participated in national and local volunteer cleanup campaigns for the benefit of visitors to the protected area.
The Directorate team supports all initiatives related to improving the condition of the natural park and always supports good causes!
