The employees of the Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park are joining the national campaign "Let's Clean Bulgaria Together", announced for Saturday, September 14. The action will be held jointly with the Society 528 Association and will start at 9 a.m. The meeting point for all volunteers who wish to join in cleaning the nature park is the parking lot in front of the Astronomical Observatory on the Shumen Plateau. The employees of the Directorate will distribute bags and gloves to people who want to participate in the campaign and will ensure the transportation of waste.
Some heavily polluted areas in the Park have been identified for cleaning. These are several side roads off the main road between the Monument to the Founders of the Bulgarian State and the Shumen Fortress, as well as the area around the fortress and the parking lot there.
In case of bad weather conditions, cleaning will not take place.
This year, the campaign's motto is "Let's turn the game around!" and the goal is to change attitudes about pollution through volunteering, to stimulate personal responsibility and contribution to caring for the planet. The campaign encourages responsible attitudes and behavior to create a cleaner and more beautiful living environment.
