The Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park is organizing a hike to the Kostadinov Monastery above the village of Osmar on Saturday, November 2. The meeting point is the "Glass" restaurant, which is located in the area of the Shumen Fortress, and the starting time is 10 a.m.
Experts from the park will show tourists the beauty of the Shumen plateau in autumn and will present the history of the rock monasteries. Participants in the hike will also be able to see the emblematic rock phenomenon "The Eye", considered one of the most energetic places in the region.
The hike will last about 5 hours in both directions, including breaks. We recommend that tourists stock up on water and food and wear suitable shoes.
This is the fourth mass hike organized by the Park Directorate this year. The initiative aims to popularize the natural and historical wealth of the region.
