A lesson about birds in winter was held with first-graders from Panayot Volov Secondary School. The forest rangers from Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve dedicated the lesson to the Park's birthday. The children learned about ways to make birdhouses and what is important to help the birds in winter. First graders they learned what the birds' favorite food is and which of them winter in our territory. In the workshops of the lesson, eco-feeders were made from recyclable materials and seeds, and then they themselves placed the feeders in the forest. The children were most impressed by the woodpecker and now know that it is a doctor of the forest.
