Forestry history through the eyes of seventh graders

Today, seventh-graders from the Tr. Simeonov Secondary School in Shumen were introduced to the history of forestry in Bulgaria after the Liberation. The students are from the Green Deal club and for two years now, the forestry educators from the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve have been conducting weekly classes on environmental and nature conservation topics. The children were introduced to the history of forestry and the new website, which was created on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Forest Week. They discovered curious facts and interesting publications in it. The forestry educators recalled the importance of forests and afforestation in the past and now, and also explained why the campaign's motto is "A century of eternity in protection and care!". As part of the class, the seventh-graders made drawings dedicated to the topic.
