The Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve expressed its gratitude to the volunteers who implemented their initiatives on the territory of the Park in 2020. Letters of appreciation have been prepared for the most active ones on the occasion of December 5 - International Volunteer Day. "We want to show our respect for the unpaid work dedicated to improving the infrastructure in the park and for the actions implemented," said the director Vasil Vassilev.
We remind you that the youth from the Municipal Youth Council - Shumen refreshed the benches in the forest park "Kyoskovete" and restored the Alley for people with disabilities on the Shumen plateau. On the initiative of Rosen Donev and Tsvetomir Tsonev, Shumen residents have been cleaning up areas of the plateau with voluntary work for 5 months. Sports clubs have also implemented similar actions. Cyclists from the "Ilchov Bair" Cycling Club are restoring trails, and through the competitions that the club organizes, the beautiful nature in the Park and the settlements around it is promoted. Other prominent volunteers are Shumen residents Krasimir Atanasov and Petar Georgiev. With voluntary work, they maintain the park infrastructure in various areas and place signposts after coordination with the Directorate. Gratitude for their efforts is also expressed to the members of "Rotary Shumen", who cleared the "Magic of the Forest" route and continue to work to promote the highest point of the Shumen plateau - Tarnov Tabia.
