62 children from the Secondary School "Vasil Levski" in Novi Pazar participated today in the Forest Pedagogy lessons organized by experts from the North-Eastern State Enterprise and the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve. During the lesson, the first-grade students had the opportunity to understand the difference between deciduous and coniferous trees. The children learned to recognize the main tree species, as well as the difference between pine and fir cones. The little ones told the teachers which animal eats what and which forest inhabitants hibernate in the cold months. As part of the lesson, the forest teachers provided the first-graders with materials to make Christmas cards on a forest theme.
At the end of the lesson, the children invited the forest educators to visit them again after the holidays.
