The First National Conference of Forest Pedagogues will be held this week at the Training Base of the State Forestry Educational Institution "G. Avramov" - Yundola. Experts from the North-Eastern State Enterprise and the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve will participate in the forum. During the meeting, the main tasks facing forest pedagogues in the coming years will be identified, the popularization of Forest Pedagogy in the country and the creation of a common website will be discussed. The First National Conference on Forest Pedagogy is being organizedorganized by the Union of Foresters in Bulgaria, with the experts from the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve and the Bulgarian Forestry Association receiving their invitations to participate personally from Prof. Dr. Ivan Paligorov, who is the chairman of the Union.
During the forum, activities with children that have been developed by forest educators in the course of their work will be demonstrated. There will be six new lessons, two of which will feature entirely original activities presented by experts from the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve and the SDP.
About 10,000 children in the country have participated in Forest Pedagogy classes. Over 3,000 of them have learned and had fun with experts from the Forest Pedagogical Institute and the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve. This year, four new lessons related to forest fire protection and survival in the forest have been developed, and a joint lesson with RIM-Shumen has also been implemented. A few days ago, a new lesson dedicated to bats was launched in the Park, which, in addition to theoretical knowledge and fun games, also includes a meeting with the flying mammals in their natural habitat - the Biserna cave.
