The interest in the "Biserna" cave is enormous

Many tourists visited the "Biserna" cave in the first days of its opening to visitors. Due to the great interest in the unique natural phenomenon, we would like to remind you once again that access is only possible with prior registration at the Directorate of the "Shumen Plateau" Nature Park by calling 054/ 800 765. The organization of work is announced on the website of the Nature Park and on the official page in the social network. The Directorate does not guarantee the accuracy of the information published elsewhere.

For a visit to the "Biserna" cave, applications are accepted on the specified phone number on weekdays, as visits will be possible on all Saturdays and Sundays until the beginning of November at 10 a.m., 11.30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., and on weekdays the cave will be open from 10 a.m., 11.30 a.m. and 1 p.m. On Mondays and Tuesdays, tourists will not be accepted.

The route inside is about 800 meters long in one direction. You can reach “Biserna” on foot, as the forest road is not suitable for cars. Vehicles can be parked in the area of the villa of the Shumen Municipality. There are two walking routes – from the “Kyoshkave” park – “A lesson on the forest path” and from the junction for the “Old Town” Fortress on the road to the villa of the Shumen Municipality. Signs are placed along all routes.

The temperature in Biserna Cave is 10 degrees. Due to the high humidity and cave waters, tourists are recommended to wear suitable closed shoes and warm clothing.
