The highest point of the Shumen plateau is now accessible for visiting

On the festive day of September 22, members of the Rotary Club of Shumen, experts from the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve and volunteers cleared a path to Tarnov Tabia - the highest point of the plateau, which is located at 502 m. above sea level. Signposts have been placed to direct tourists to the place, fallen trees and overgrown vegetation have been cleared. According to an agreement with the Directorate of the Nature Park, the Rotary Club is the patron of Tarnov Tabia and the “Magic of the Forest” tourist route, the condition of which was also checked today. Last year, the marking was renewed and the paths were cleared.
We remind you that in the past, there was a military facility at Tarnov Tabia, the remains of which are visible under the forest vegetation. In addition to the geodetic benchmark, the place is marked with a sign placed a few years ago by the Rotary Club of Shumen.
We thank everyone who took part in today's action! Our cooperation will continue towards the protection of the places and routes that are valuable to the people of Shumen!
