New hotspots for tourists in the park

The construction of 12 new fire pits on the territory of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve has been completed. The fire pits have been created near the recreation areas and shelters in the park. The renovation is being implemented under a project funded by the first edition of the social initiative "Fantastico do teb". The project is called "We build fire pits. We protect the forest" and with the implementation of the planned activities, the risk of forest fires is expected to be significantly reduced. The fire pits are more convenient and safer for tourists, as well as for conducting lessons with children and students related to the protection of forest areas from fire.

12 completely new fireplaces have been built, and in some places such facilities have not existed before.

Maintenance will be carried out by the team of the Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park, but during the construction activities there were vandal attacks on the new fireplaces. We hope that visitors will protect the facilities and comply with the rules for lighting fires in the protected area.
