World Environment Day – June 5th will also be celebrated in the Shumen Plateau Nature Park. The initiative will be held jointly with the experts of the Regional Inspectorate for Environment and Water of Shumen at June 4 at 10 a.m. in the forest park "Kyoskovete". Twenty children from the eco-club "Green Patrols" of the Sofia University "Panayot Volov" will clean the parking lot in the area. Experts have prepared various challenges, role-playing games and prizes for the children. The "Green Patrols" will learn more about the creation and maintenance of forests and their role in purifying the air.
The motto of this year's Earth Day campaign is "Air Pollution - We can't stop breathing, but we can take steps to improve air quality." On this occasion, the call is for people involved in the campaign to use masks until June 5 to show governments around the world that everyone wants to breathe clean air.
