The "Green Suns" festival, dedicated to Midsummer, is canceled. The festival of herbs is organized annually by the Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve, but this year it will not take place due to the search for the large predator spotted on the plateau. Actions to identify the dangerous animal continue, camera traps and baits have been set.
In accordance with a decision of the Temporary Crisis Headquarters, the Regional Forestry Directorate in Shumen issued an order prohibiting access to the forest areas of the Shumen plateau for one month. If the situation changes, the order may be lifted earlier.
We urge citizens not to use forest paths to the plateau.
