Over 30 tires were cleared by employees of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve and the Shumen Municipality. The tires are visibly worn out and have been dumped throughout the protected area. The waste was discovered during a tour of the Park, checking the areas around the panoramic road to the plateau and the municipal roads to Novosel and Lozevo. The largest number of discarded tires were found in the area of the Television Tower. Assistance was sought from the Shumen Municipality to ensure the disposal of the waste in a legally established manner.
Disposing of car tires in nature is prohibited. We call on citizens to comply with the prohibitions and regimes set forth in the Waste Act and the Protected Areas Act.
