The Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve organizes the traditional "Green Suns" festival dedicated to Midsummer. On June 24 - Monday, on the meadow next to the information center of the "Creators of the Bulgarian State" monument, we will welcome the sunrise of Midsummer, which occurs at 5.33 am. A wreath of herbs will be woven, under which everyone will pass to the rhythm of the Enyovsko horo. It is believed that on this day the sun bestows good health, and the herbs picked at sunrise have the greatest healing power.
The celebration will also include lecturers from the Shumen University "Bishop Konstantin Preslavski", who have prepared a fun quiz for those present, and those who answer correctly will receive prizes. Producers of herbal and eco-products are expected to attend, a folklore group from the "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" community center has prepared tea and herbal drinks.
