Christmas cards for forest officials were prepared by the children from the "Green Patrols" club at the "Panayot Volov" Secondary School in Shumen. With their beautiful works, the children congratulate the workers in the natural parks and other structures of the Executive Forestry Agency, as well as employees in various institutions, on the holidays. "We believe that with each card we give warmth and smiles!", share the children and their teachers.
This is another joint initiative of the club and the Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park. This year, the Green Patrols participated in numerous actions and educational campaigns, including special lessons with the creation of boards and animations about biodiversity in the nature park, the eco-initiative "Forest in a Cart", lessons about bats, a reforestation campaign and others.
The experts have been working with the fourth graders for three years to supplement their knowledge and foster a love and care for nature. The children actively participate in competitions and national initiatives, and Lora Marinova from the club took prizes in the National Quiz on the occasion of Forest Week 2021, the National Competition "Nature - My Inspiration" of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve and won two first places in the online quiz of the Sinite Kamani Nature Reserve - Sliven.
