The path to the "Mermaid" cave has been cleared. Employees of the Directorate of the "Shumen Plateau" Nature Park removed a fallen tree that was blocking the passage in the area of the villa of the Shumen Municipality. The path was not visible because of the branches. The place is very popular, and the section is part of two thematic routes in the "Shumen Plateau" Nature Park. These are "A Lesson on the Forest Path", which runs from the "Kyoskovete" forest park through the "Biserna" and "Mermaid" caves, and the route "This is where Bulgaria begins", which starts from the "Kyoskovete" and reaches the "Creators of the Bulgarian State" Monument.
The Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve reminds us that we accept signals about the condition of the routes in the park and about missing markings. In connection with the cases of African swine fever in the country, the Directorate of the Park also accepts signals when observing animals with atypical behavior or when finding a wild boar carcass.
