The Shumen Plateau becomes the setting for a children's pirate film

Part of the production "The Children of Bendida" is being filmed in the area of the Forest School in the Shumen Plateau Nature Reserve. Straw houses were set up for the purposes of the scenography and dramaturgy, and were made to resemble a children's village.

The film stars percussionist Kalin Veliov, who plays the role of a robber. The first stage of filming the adventure film was near Varna, and on the Shumen plateau, filming will last about a month, and will also include footage from the "Biserna" cave. The screenwriter and director is Nik Stanchev. The costumes for the adventure fantasy drama, with a time frame of the 15th century, are the work of designer Milena Veliova.
