The Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park announces a National Competition "Nature - My Inspiration". The competition has been organized annually since 1995 to stimulate children's creativity dedicated to nature. The competition on the theme "Nature - My Inspiration" is in several directions - for drawing, for applied works, for presentations on an ecological theme and for an essay or poem. There are no restrictions on the techniques and formats used, and the applied works must be made of natural materials. Participants must be aged from 1st to 7th grade in the directions for drawing, for literary or applied work, and in the direction for presentations a new age category is introduced and students from 1st to 12th grade can participate.
Each work must include: the participant's full name, class, school, address and contact number. The deadline for submitting works is May 15, 2021, to the Directorate of the Shumen Plateau Nature Park at the address: Shumen, Kyoshkove Forest Park, P.O. Box 160. Presentations will be accepted at the Directorate's e-mail addresses. shplato@hotmail.com and dppshumenskoplato@iag.bg.
A jury will evaluate the children's creativity, and the winners will be announced at the end of May.
Last year, a record number of presentations - 118, participated in the 25th edition of the competition. The students presented 322 drawings, applied works, presentations and texts on the topic. Some of the drawings were donated to the Complex for Social Services for Children and Families in Shumen, and the works are arranged in a permanent exhibition.
